Oxford. My new home!-

Oxford. Is. Amazing.

I have had the most amazing last two days exploring my new home. I can't believe I get to live here in this amazing historic town.

Not only is Oxford the home of Oxford University, but it is one of the most culturally diverse cities in England. Which is evident at the farmers market I visited yesterday. Full of amazing produce, cheese, fresh flowers, and hot food from around the world! The fooooood. Oh the food. Dumplings = the best I've ever had! And churros! I want to eat them everyday of my life. This is a market I will be visiting every week!

Oxford is also in the perfect position on the river Thames where you can see boat races or even go punting with friends! I'm told this is a great thing to do in the summer along with visiting the beer gardens along the river in the summer. I can't wait!

This is an amazing city, and because it was pretty much left alone during the German air raids in WWII, the cities amazing sites and historical buildings are all pretty much in tact. That means everything is old! Which is the best part about England! So come and visit, if I love it, I know you will too!

Top 5 March favourites!-

This month has been amazing!
I'm finally in England with my husband! We're moving into our house soon, and I could not be happier. March is always a great month, and this year is no different. Here are a few of my March favourites!

1) Boyfriend jeans and my zara pumps. Slouchy meets chic! Now I'm no stranger to boyfriend jeans, but I am obsessed with this pairing. I love the classy feminine black pump mixed with the masculine distressed denim. Takes the jeans to a whole different level.

2) Silver! I've been more of a gold fan in the last few years, but lately silver is really calling my name. "Chelsey! Chelsey! Pair us with your pastel colours! We look great!" Alright silver, I'll do it! I love it with black as well, for a more dramatic look.

3) Fringe! Guys this is gonna be a big trend. I've already got my eye on a missguided black fringe skirt, not to mention this fabulous TopShop bag!

4) Sleeveless Blazers/over coats. What a great way to elevate your look! This is the perfect third peice to any outfit. I'm actually really loving it with my boyfriend Jean/black pump combo. But really there's a lot you can pair with this peice. I've got my eye on a shorter white one as well.

5) England. It's green and wonderful. I mean I already knew I loved it, but it's a bit scary moving to a new place let alone another country. But this place could not be more beautiful if it tried. It's so unfair that they have so much history here. As an American growing up the oldest thing around is maybe from the 1800s. My husband grew up in a house that was more than 400 years old... How. Cool. Is. That!! If you haven't made it here yet, do it, and don't just go to London. In fact skip London all together. Head to the north or the very South. You won't regret it.

I hope April is as lovely as March!

How to distress your denim.-

I have been searching for the perfect black distressed denim skinnies for like a year! So yesterday when I was out shopping with my new family, I thought, perfect timing. Find some today. They're everywhere TopShop, River Island, Urban outfitters. Everyone has them, but alas, I hated every pair I tried on. I wanted them to fit like this perfect pair of black denim that I had back at home. I had the thought of cutting them myself before but I didn't want to mess up and ruin them. But yesterday when I couldn't find anything I liked, I just decided to go for it! It's so so simple. Here's what I did!

Step one-mark where you want the holes to be. I wanted them on my knees, so I put them on and used fabric chalk to make a line right across my knee.

Step two-make the cut. I wanted a cut straight across. You can multiple cuts or one. It's really up to you.

Step three-try them on! They're exactly what I want!

Over time and after a few washes they should start looking better and better. So if you can't find the perfect distressed denim. Make your own!

I Love New...I mean the Original York!-

Shopping, Tea, and amazing company. I spent this lovely Thursday with my mother & sister-in-law. And what a day we had. York is one of the loveliest oldest cities in England. If you ever have a chance to make it to the North of England don't forget to check out this historic walled city. You can walk the wall and check out York Minster and other historic sites, or shop till you drop as this medieval towns city centre is like a giant shopping mall. There's also so many lovely tea shops, and excellent pubs, and bars for a great day/night out! I love York. It's the perfect English city.

Spring up your winter wardrobe.-

Do you know what I love? Spring. What a lovely time. Everything is turning green again, people are excited to get outside, and we can finally wear our shorts again! Well...kind of. We have to wear them with oversized sweaters, tights, and jackets, but that shouldn't stop us from incorporating spring styles into our wardrobes even if it might still feel like winter. My favourite thing to do is a big chunky sweater with denim shorts. I paired my favourite winter forever21 sweater with my J.Crew denim shorts and added a scrappy wedge sandle for a casual spring/winter mix. I also love my leather sleeve jacket from forever21. I wear it all the time (like everyday...whoops) and pairing it with this cute floral romper and these Zara boots that I've been wearing all winter is a perfect combination right now, and if its a colder day I just add tights and I'm set. So even though it's still feels like winter I'm not gonna let that stop me from adding a little sping into my wardrobe.

I have a no eyebrow situation.-

I have always had somewhat invisible eyebrows, and until I went to college and started putting on costume make up I didn't know that people actually drew them in every day. I was late to the party...I know. And for the last few years I've been using the same brand of eyebrow pencil and decided that I needed a little change up. So I've been trying out Stila's, stay all day, waterproof brow color. I have to say, I love it! Compared to the last one I was using this looks much more natural. It's a lighter and easier to use brush that actually does stay all day and is incredibly easy to apply. So if you're going for a natural brow look. I suggest this one for you!

Just got back from a 5 mile run and I'm having a Motivation Monday hummus and homemade pita breakfast! Can't wait to get this week started!
